Meet CHEF ANTHONY CHUMPITAZ
OLu CAFE FOOD SEVICE MANAGER & CHEF
Orange Lutheran’s community is incredibly blessed to enjoy the culinary creations of Chef Anthony Chumpitaz, who has served as the manager of OLu’s on-campus cafe since 2021.
“Chef,” as students and fellow employees affectionately know him, brings Latin American dishes to the 1,400 students of OLu daily. During Hispanic Heritage Month, Chef serves daily specials such as Peruvian causa de pollo, Mexican pan dulce, and jamaica hibiscus tea. Each school day, he and his staff serve over 900 students in just 35 minutes. Chef’s creations offer comfort and nourishment for our students, while his ability to connect with each student on a personal level has elevated the hospitality experience in the OLu Cafe.
Before coming to Orange Lutheran, Chef graduated from the Art Institute of Los Angeles with a Culinary Arts degree. He previously worked as a chef at many Southern California restaurants, including The Beverly Hills Hotel, Terranea Resort, and The Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey.
