Recent OLu grad Asher Segelken won the bronze award in Atlanta's KingdomWood Film Festival.
Exciting things are happening for recent OLu grad and aspiring filmmaker Asher Segelken '16, now a freshman at Loyola Marymount University.
On Wednesday, October 5, Magis, an influential student service organization on the campus of LMU, hosted a special screening of Segelken's documentary on homelessness, which he premiered at OLu as a sophomore. A day later, Segelken traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, where his coming-of-age documentary 18 had been accepted into the KingdomWood Film Festival and nominated for "Best Documentary."
And at the end of the festival, Segelken left with Bronze Award in Youth Driven Films.
