King Author wins ASPA First Place award

Orange Lutheran's King Author has won an ASPA award each year for over a decade. 

King Author 
is Orange Lutheran's student-edited literary and arts magazine.
Preliminary results from the American Scholastic Press Association annual magazine reviews are in and for the the 12th and 13th years in a row, King Author, with Natalie Garson and Lena Oliver at the helm, received a First Place award.
The judge writes:
"[Each issue of] King Author is an excellent publication which deserves a FIRST PLACE award in the American Scholastic Press Association's annual magazine competition. Creating a magazine teaches students the fundamentals of creative writing, publishing, good writing skills, proofreading and editing skills, concepts of design and composition and promotes and supports a community of young writers and gives them esteem. Your magazine shows the superior efforts of talented and creative editors, writers, artists, photographers, layout/graphics designers, staff members, and advisor. ASPA congratulates all on your First Place award!"
