Coach Chuck Petersen and the Lancers released their 2015-16 football schedule on Friday, and in typical Petersen fashion, its as challenging as ever.

The Lancers open the season on Aug. 28 at Compton Dominguez before traveling to take on traditional football powerhouse, Encino Crespi in the second game of the season.

The Lancers will then once again take on Corona Centennial on Sept. 11, which beat St. John Bosco in the Southern Section Pac-5 Division championship, 48-41, on Dec. 7.

Next, in one of the biggest games in Orange Lutheran football history, the Lancers will travel to take on national powerhouse Concord De La Salle on Sept. 19.

De La Salle, in 2014, finished the season 14-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country, according to MaxPreps. The Spartans defeated Corona Centennial, 63-42, in the Pac-4 State Division championship on Dec. 20.

De La Salle is universally recognized as the greatest high school football program in the nation and is famous for winning 151 consecutive games from 1992-2004. In 2014, the movie When the Game Stands Tall chronicled the school's winning streak.
