The Alumni Association unveils its first-ever 'Lancer Wine' as the holiday season approaches.
In partnership with Cholame Vineyard, the Lancer Alumni Association is excited to announce its latest venture, the newly crafted and exclusive 'Lancer Wine.'
The “L” Wine is a private wine label that features exclusive wines, designed specifically for the Lancer family. The Lancer Alumni Association will release two separate wines: the 2012 Roussanne, a white wine, and the 2012 Red Blend.
The Roussanne, which will be priced at $25 per bottle, is referred to as the “King of the White Rhones.” It is the predominate white grape of the southern Rhone region. Its taste is described as “vibrant notes of honey and minerality enhance a lively mid palate and lingering finish of clean citrus and white floral overtones.”
The Red Blend, which will be priced at $40 per bottle, is a California style Cote Du Rhone, which means “The Slope of the Rhone.” It is fuller bodied than a traditional French style. Its taste is described as “medium body, good balance, cherry, spice, tobacco with a hint of vanilla at the finish.”
The Cholame Vineyard is owned by David and Donna DuBois, Orange residents and current Lancer parents. It is located in San Miguel, CA, just north of Paso Robles in the Cholame Valley.
Proceeds from the sales of “L” Wine will go to the Lancers For Life fund, which provides our current students and families with need based financial assistance. Each year, Orange Lutheran gives roughly $1.5 million in financial aid to students in need.
By supporting the Lancers For Life fund, you are enriching the lives of students and their families and helping to develop disciples of Christ who will be our future leaders.
Both “L” Wines are now available for purchase here.
