Beyond Expectations - David Hockney photomontage style

Orange Lutheran High School artists illustrate progress of the expansion project

From October to December 2013, Photography 1 & 2 students mentored by David Sohn, took pictures of the construction site on a weekly basis to record growth of the structures and changes to Orange Lutheran's landscape. Using 5-10 photos, students were challenged to create a photomontage in a style like David Hockney. Photos were arranged in a manner that showed the construction site from different perspectives.

David Hockney-type artwork was created by the following Lancers:

Sohn has been in the teaching ministry as an art instructor for 32 years, and at Orange Lutheran since 2000. He oversees: Exploratory Art, Advanced Sculpture & Ceramics 1, 2, & 3, AP Studio Art: Drawing, 2D, Graphic Design 1, and Digital Photography 1 & 2.
