Gallery Intern

The Gallery Intern will report directly to the Orange Lutheran Gallery Coordinator. Duties include gathering and selecting artwork from students and faculty to display in Gallery 500 and the Nechita Gallery. The Gallery Intern will be responsible for the design and installation of artwork, the creation of exhibition literature, and coordination of exhibition opening and closing receptions. 

In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to implement display designs and use individual artistic skills and experience to impact the aesthetics of the exhibitions. Intern will learn a variety of skills and is expected to demonstrate these skills in a practical setting, including a capstone project that will give the intern an opportunity to synthesize all the skills learned during the internship.  

Students with strong work ethic, an eagerness to grow professionally, and an interest in Art History, Museum Studies, Arts Administration and Art Education will be favored in the selection process. Intern(s) will have an extensive portfolio of experience to utilize for future college and career opportunities. This is an unpaid internship position.
