What is an endowment fund?
An endowment fund is a permanent, invested fund established to provide ongoing support for a specific purpose. Gifts to the Lancer Legacy Endowment Fund are invested with a long-term perspective. The original contributions, known as the principal, remain intact and are not spent. Each year, a carefully determined portion of the investment earnings is distributed to provide tuition assistance. Because the principal remains invested, the fund continues to grow and generate support year after year. This disciplined structure provides consistency and sustainability.
