Orange Lutheran competes under the CIF Southern Section and within the prestigious Trinity League, a league often recognized as one of the most competitive in the nation. Since 2010, over 200 Orange Lutheran athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to participate in collegiate athletics at Division 1 schools, and we continue to draw the attention of top college recruiters through our high ranking athletic programs that have garnered multiple Trinity League, CIF, and State championships over the years. Highly regarded as a perennial powerhouse, Orange Lutheran has graduated an Olympian, an NFL football player, and several Major League baseball players along with many players active in the minor leagues.
Our two-story Ellwein Center includes a 15,000 square foot gymnasium serving as the host site for volleyball, basketball, and wrestling matches. This upper gym is where our Lancer family gathers four days a week for Daily Gathering, praise and prayer, assemblies, and pep rallies. The lower level of the Ellwein Center includes a second gym and 5,400 square foot Performance Training Center. Featuring the largest weight room in southern California, it is equipped with 16 lifting stations, modern training equipment, and a nutrition center. It also includes a spacious athletic training room complete with a temperature-controlled whirlpool for ice baths as well as modern locker facilities and team rooms.
