STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Program

The STEM program is designed to offer students the opportunities and motivation to best use their God-given talents in science and math. Students who flourish in this program will be gifted in those areas and desire to be challenged at the highest level. Through a foundation of Honors and AP coursework, and supplemented by real-world opportunities, Orange Lutheran's STEM Program will inspire and prepare students for majors and careers in STEM-related fields.

STEM Academy Requirements

Students are accepted into the STEM Program after the fall semester of their sophomore year. At that time, applicants must have taken two honors courses in math along with Honors Biology and Honors Chemistry. The applicant must have earned an 'A' in each of these courses for the 3 semesters (freshmen year and first semester of the sophomore year). The student that then fulfills the course and internship requirements will be part of the STEM Program and receive a STEM Endorsement on their official transcript.
