The Christian life includes acts of love and service to others. As people dearly loved by the Father, redeemed by His Son Jesus Christ, and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, we acknowledge that God’s love for us in Christ motivates us toward love, care, and concern for those in need. God’s love for us produces love. Love seeks and serves the neighbor. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God (1 John 4:7 ESV).
Thus, Service to Society at Orange Lutheran High School is defined as: Students sharing their time, talents and energies serving the needs of others in their local, national and international communities.
During each school year, students must complete a minimum of 20 hours of 'Service to Society,' including participation in one Service Day event during the year, which will count for five hours.
