Financial Aid and Scholarships

OLu Scholarships 2017-18

Orange Lutheran High School is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarship opportunities for the 2017-2018 school year. To be eligible for any scholarship, the student must complete the application in its entirety before March 1, 2017. Please indicate the scholarships you feel you are best suited for and submit the required supplemental requirements as indicated. While parents may support the student in the application process, students are expected to complete the application on their own.  

Funding of scholarships is contingent upon acceptance to Orange Lutheran High School, and students must maintain good attendance and remain in good academic and disciplinary standing to remain eligible. Further, to receive scholarship funds, students agree to promote the mission and core values of Orange Lutheran and agree to the General Scholarship Terms and Conditions.

The following scholarships opportunities are available for the 2017-2018 school year:

  • Partner in Ministry Scholarship

    Eligibility
    • For students whose parent or legal guardian work at least 30 hours per week for a Bible-based Christian church or school
    • Employment Verification Form

    Amount of Scholarship
    • $3,750 Partner in Ministry Scholarship
    • NOTE: Association Lutheran Church Members also receive a reduced tuition rate
    • Partner-in-Ministry Scholarship CAN be combined with financial aid and other scholarship awards
  • Lancer Alumni Scholarship

    Eligibility
    • For students who have a parent who is an Orange Lutheran Lancer alumni
    • Diploma verification required
    • Priority admissions and registration
    Amount of Scholarship 
    • $500 total
    • Lancer Alumni Scholarship CAN be combined with financial aid and other scholarship awards
  • Top Scholar Scholarship

    Eligibility
    • 8th grade student must be the highest achieving academic student at his/her junior high school
    • Requires completion of Orange Lutheran Scholarship Application
    • Eligible applicants must have achieved valedictorian or equivalent status at the completion of 8th grade.  
    • Continued eligibility requires the student remains in good academic and disciplinary standing and maintains good attendance and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
    Amount of Scholarship
    • $2,000 total for valedictorian (disbursed in four equal payments of $500 over the course of the four years of high school)
    • The Top Scholar Scholarship CAN be combined with financial aid and other scholarship awards
  • Arts Academy Scholarships

    Eligibility
    • Selected students will demonstrate a proficiency and command of skills in their respective discipline through audition and/or performance video, artwork portfolio, and at least two letters of recommendation from private instructors.
    • Disciplines: Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music
    • Requires completion of Orange Lutheran Scholarship Application and two letters of recommendation
      • Visual arts applicants submit artwork portfolio with application
      • Performing arts applicants submit performance video with application
    • Student must remain in good academic and disciplinary standing with a minimum 3.25 GPA to remain eligible.
    Amount of Scholarship
    • $2,000 total (disbursed in four equal payments of $500 for over the course of the four years of high school)
    • Arts Academy Scholarship CAN be combined with financial aid and other scholarship awards

Founded in 1973, Orange Lutheran High School, is a comprehensive private Christian co-educational college preparatory high school, grades 9-12, that exists to help students internalize the gospel message of salvation in Christ Jesus.
