Faces of OLu - Alumnus produces "Sling Baby"

Kevin Willson '96 once again named finalist for national commercial contest

Tue Jan 17, 2012 at 11:10am

Kevin Willson ’96, an accomplished film maker that has traveled the world creating Christian documentaries, worship films and other projects, has once again been selected as a finalist for “Crash the Super Bowl,” a national commercial competition presented by Doritos. This year, out of approximately 6,000 entries, Willson’s submission of “Sling Baby” made the top five.

The Orange Lutheran alumnus is no stranger to this kind of attention.  In 2010 and 2011, Willson’s productions of “Casket” and “Birthday Wish” garnered the same honors.

Will the third time be the charm?

If Willson comes away with a victory, he will receive a contract to produce commercials for Doritos and a one million dollar prize.

There are five different ways to cast a vote in under 30 seconds, and voters are encouraged to participate daily.  Voters will also automatically be entered for a chance to win $10,000.

Be More. Be a Lancer.
