This past Spring students, teachers and visitors saw a new trend in fashion - jeans with a statement! Art students, under the direction of Department Chair, Todd Eklund, took traditional jeans and used them to give a voice to a social issue they were passionate about. The project, which is in its second year, is a very unique part of what has unofficially been called the "Arts Hallway" (the 500 hallway) which, thanks to the work of the Arts Department has changing displays of student artwork throughout the school year. The jeans hung from the second level so they could be appreciated from multiple angles.
Students Ally Bender and Heather Hambright, Eklund and Executive Director Gregg Pinick are featured in a news story now appearing on Channel 101 of Time Warner Cable.
