Orange Lutheran announced the hiring of the new Head Coach for Cross Country and Track and Field. Coach JT Ayers comes to Orange Lutheran from Redwood High School in Visalia, California. Coach Ayers brings strong Christian leadership as well as high level coaching experience to Orange Lutheran.
Prior to his time at Redwood High School, Coach Ayers was the Head Track and Field Coach at Trabuco Hills High School where his team compiled a perfect 8-0 record in winning the Sea View League Title.
“I plan on continuing the legacy already established by the faithful coaching staff that has impacted the surrounding community for Christ,” says Ayers. “Together, I pray to grow God’s kingdom on earth through the young athletes at Orange Lutheran and to fulfill our real purpose in life, simply to glorify God. I am truly honored and extremely excited to start my ministry at Orange Lutheran.”
Ayers takes the reins from Coach Jack Preus, who will remain at Orange Lutheran in a new, administrative role. Preus, who led the Lancers to numerous titles and awards, left the programs to commit more time to his family and to transition into an expanded role as the school's Director of Professional Learning.
