Fulltime Online

An exceptional online learning experience

The learning format utilized by Orange Lutheran Online is the most popular model for online education in use today, and has been proven successful for more than a decade. Unlike other distance learning systems that emphasize self-study, Orange Lutheran Online provides a highly interactive environment for a rich exchange of information and ideas, and the building of strong relationships between students and teachers.

At Orange Lutheran Online, all interaction among students and teachers is done asynchronously, through e-mails, and newsgroups, so everyone participates on their own schedule. Students download course materials on a daily basis from their teachers, and read them at their convenience. Throughout each course, students will actively discuss, debate and collaborate with their classmates to better understand the lessons being presented. At the same time, they will have constant access to their teachers who will provide ongoing guidance and feedback. They will also have access to a full range of online resources and other support services. To ensure that learning sessions are productive and interactive, classes are kept small, with no more than 25 students per class.

Orange Lutheran Online has 6 semesters a year: Two in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each session lasts eight weeks, with most courses requiring attendance in two sessions per week.  Most Fulltime Online students take three to four courses at a time during the Fall and Spring, adding up to six to eight units per year.  Click on the following link for an example of a four year plan:
