Band Ensembles
The Marching Band is the core group of the non-strings Instrumental Arts music program at Lutheran High School. During the football season, the Marching band program begins with Band Camp one week before the school term starts. Rehearsals intensify with afterschool mid-week sessions as well as Saturday afternoons. The Band puts on performances at Football games before the game and during half-time, and competes in Field Show Competitions during that same period. The Marching Band program concludes with the end of the play-offs. During the Winter and Spring months, the Band transitions to several related groups: Jazz I and Jazz II Ensembles, Wind Ensemble, and in addition, a Handbells Ensemble, a program open to non-Marching Band participants.
