Mission Statement

Lutheran High School of Orange County views itself as people forgiven, loved, and valued through God’s reconciling activity in Christ Jesus.  Therefore, faculty and staff, along with the students, shall endeavor to assist in the developmental process of each student by:

1)  Nurturing spiritual and emotional growth

2)  Equipping in knowledge and skills

3)  Providing social and relational support and training

4)  Promoting healthy physical development

 

Vision

Graduates of Lutheran High School of Orange County will be able to:

1)  Explain God’s plan of salvation for humankind, as revealed throughout the Old and New Testaments, that is centered in and completed by the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2)  Read and interpret Scripture using Confessional Lutheran hermeneutical principles.

 

Core Values held by the Theology Department

Theology Teachers will consistently commit themselves to the following two values:

1)  Provide a supportive educational and relational environment to foster maximum Christian development.

2)  Maintain high expectations for student performance as they implement creative pedagogy to deliver a high level of academic content.

To help students internalize the Gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
