Choral Music
Chamber Singers (Honor's choir)
The Lutheran High School Chamber Singers, under the direction of Mrs. Renee Cahill, is an auditioned vocal ensemble which perform a wide variety of choral styles in concerts on campus and throughout Orange County. The Chamber Singers have toured Australia, Hawaii and most recently this elite ensemble had the privilege of performing in May of 2009 on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York.
Concert Choir, Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus
Lutheran High School is pleased to offer three additional non-auditioned choirs, under the direction of Mrs. Renee Cahill, to give the students an opportunity to use their gifts and find their hidden talents. Concert Choir is made up of 11th-12th grade women and 10th-12th grade men and currently has 85 members in this gifted group. Women's Chorus, made up of 9th-10th grade women, will be one to watch this year with nearly 100 members. Men's Chorus was introduced last year and for the second year in a row this choir will consist of nearly 60 Freshmen!
Bel Canto
Bel Canto is an auditioned women's ensemble under the direction of Mrs. Renee Cahill.
Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Lutheran High School of Orange County now offers two auditioned Vocal Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Mr. Daniel Vu - Mixed Vocal Jazz Ensemble and Women's Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
Men's Ensemble
Men's Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Daniel Vu, is an auditioned ensemble performing a mixture of a capella music representing many different styles.

These auditioned musicians lead worship in Chapel at LHSOC under the direction of Mr. Kyle Cahill and Ms. Megan Truckey.
Director of Choral Music
Renee Cahill is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. Renee has been at Lutheran High School for the past 11 years as accompanist, vocal coach, assistant director of choral activities and musical director. This is her 3rd year as Director of Choral Music where she strives to bring more and more performance opportunities to the gifted students of LHSOC. She feels blessed to be part of this amazing choral program at a high school that supports the Arts completely.
All State Honors
Orange Lutheran High School's choral music program was recently honored with the selection of senior, Michelle Berry, to the 2011 ACDA California All State Honor Choir. Members of the All State choir were selected by audition during which the contestants sang an Italian aria, scales, and were tested on sight singing and tonal memory. Michelle Berry will perform with the Honor Choir on April 2, 2011 in Sacramento.
